Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP) is a new kind of composite pipe made of steel plate, steel prestressing wire, concrete and cement mortar under the manufacturing process of cylinder forming, concrete pouring, prestressing control technology and coating spraying. It can be divided into two categories: Lined Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCPL) and Embedded Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCPE). The high-strength concrete pipe core with cylinder is intertwined with steel prestressing wire, sprayed with cement mortar coating, welded with steel cylinder by using steel socket and spigot, and formed a flexible joint of the sliding rubber gasket with grooves and rubber gaskets of the socket and spigot, which is a composite structure of steel plate, concrete, high-strength steel wire and cement mortar with respective characteristics of steel and concrete. It features in fair composite structure, high internal and external bearing pressure, good joint sealing, strong anti-seismic ability, convenient construction, good anti-corrosion performance, convenient maintenance etc. Its products such as pressure water conveyance pipeline, power plant circulating water project sewer pipe and pressure drainage main pipe are widely used in water supply and distribution network in long-distance water transmission trunk line, pressure inverted siphon, urban water supply engineering, tap water, industrial and agricultural irrigation systems. Compared with previous pipes, PCCP has advantages of wide application range, long economic life, good seismic performance, convenient installation, low operation cost, basically no leakage, etc., which is widely use in the world.
